Today we explored Brisbane. We headed to the Suncorp Stadium to see if any sport was on today. It turned out there was nothing on and it proceeded to absolutely chuck it down. We headed back to the hostel to get some lunch and wait for the rain to pass.
In the afternoon we headed along the south bank which is quite a nice place with free gas BBQs, places to sit, exhibition centres and even an inner city beach. Our walk takes us across the river and through the botanical gardens and then back into the city centre. We explored the shops, hunting for souvenirs and Ben continued his search for the ideal hat which I'm becoming more and more certain he'll never find and will leave Australia empty handed.
In the evening the weather was rather rubbish again so we headed to the cinema and saw 'Mary and Max' which was a very charming claymation film. I'm not sure if it's going to get a cinema release in the UK but I recommend it if it turns up. We had an early start tomorrow so we were sensible for once and went to bed at a reasonable hour.
