There's Little Here To Tickle The Imagination - Westport, New Zealand

Another journey with Kiwi Experience. Beginning our trip down towards Queenstown along the east coast heading to a little known town of Westport. The lonely planet entry for Westport includes the sentence “there's little here to tickle the imagination” not great as we don't want to spend money on activities we can do anywhere, C'est la vie. On route we stopped off for an hour walk around a lake which was pretty cool and the forecast rain held off until later so we could enjoy the walk and stone skimming. After a couple more stops to pick a few people up and drop a few people off at the activities of horse riding, jet boating and quad biking we reached Westport. The lonely planet was unfortunately right and it really isn't the great of towns add to this that it was Anzac day thus most of the shops were closed didn't help. To further help it's case it began to rain so we headed back to the shelter of our hostel via the supermarket.
