So today we comedied it up the ying yang. We headed into the city early to expolre and head via the blackboard to see what is on later. A guy comes up to us and starts telling us about a sketch show called 'Comicide' he's in. He explains that they have reviewers in tonight so they are selling tickets for AUS$2 to try and make the room as full as possible. For AUS$2 we are in! Having only spent AUS$2 we decide we may as well see something else as well. So as we've seen a standup, some comedy theatre, with a sketch show to come we decide the obvious choice is to see a comedy band. 'The Axis of Awesome vs Bee' gits the bill so we sort out tickets and wander the streets of Melbourne.
'The Axis of Awesome vs Bee' turn out to be good fun and enjoyable with some very amusing songs. The sketch show we'd payed a pound for was also very good. There were some amazing sketches and very few duff ones which is all you can really hope for. On the way out of a guy comes up to us with a 2 for 1 offer for a sketch show he is in later and we think "half price? Go on then". This show was by some uni students and was good fun as well despite not having quite such a good amazing to duff ratio. So three shows for less than a fiver each on average... not bad.
