It was an emergency from the International Drainage Commision

Another one of those days where we don't really do much but hang around waiting for trains. Our train is in the afternoon so we spend the morning at the Botanical gardens. Despite many signs warning us to keep an eye out for Brown snakes we see none.

Now Australian cities aren't very well connected to each other. You can get anywhere you want as long as you want to go to Sydney. So our trip to Broken Hill invovles a train from Canberra to Sydney (arriving in Sydney at 11pm), spend the night in Sydney, catch an early train to Dubbo (depart Sydney at 7am), then get on a coach to Broken Hill (arriving at 11pm).

When we arrive in Broken Hill we find the hostel (eventually). Sleep.
